Coffee Blend

What are specialty coffee blends and why do them? 

This is the most common question that we hear. High quality grade coffee beans are from different farms, growing at different altitude, treated with different processes. Each factor would give the coffee bean different attributes. Some might taste very strong, but can be very bitter. Some tastes sweet, but too watery and doesn't have a strong body. By blending the coffee beans together, it gives us the best profile that balances after taste, body, acidity, aroma and flavor, and compensate weaknesses from one to another. 

A general example is that we blend the coffee beans from Honduras, Brazil, and some other places together. The Honduras coffee beans tend to be a bit sweeter, whereas the Brazil coffee beans are usually strong. By experimenting the proportions of each coffee beans, it would give the coffee drinker the best consistent taste.
